Our Own Awareness

I was speaking to a friend about their habit of smoking weed. They have been regularly smoking for years but have only just become aware that this behaviour is directly affecting their mental state and sense of well-being.

In my own journey with anxiety. I witnessed it in other people long before I identified it in myself. And once I’d noticed it in my own behaviour, it was blindingly obvious that it had been part of me for years.

What’s so interesting about this kind of thing is that it can be so easy to notice from an outside perspective, but from our own point of view we can be perfectly oblivious.
