A Little Better

When you notice yourself wanting to be “just a little better” at doing or dealing with something, be mindful.

Odds are that even if you managed the thing you’re envisioning, an idea of another small improvement will quickly fill its place. I reckon this is why we have skyscrapers.

This is not to say that we shouldn’t want to improve ourselves, but for us to realise that the near-constant, slight-dissatisfaction with ourselves is inherently human.
